Breast cancer is a large problem today. However, the disease's survival rate is relatively high if it is caught early on. Mammograms are the best way women can detect breast cancer in its early stages. Older women are advised to get a mammogram at least every five years. When women go to get mammograms, they go to mammogram labs or mammography labs. Some mammography labs are located in hospitals while others are located in clinics. Mammograms use low-level x-rays to find images of tumors or cysts in the breast. Some mammogram labs specialize in mammograms while others offer mammogram service along with other noninvasive medical tests like x-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
